The Place

Fig Tree and Laurel are two self-catering cottages set high above the Conwy Valley, with open views across to the Carneddau mountains and the peaks of Eryri. They sit side by side on the edge of the Bodnant Estate near Eglwysbach – close enough to everything, far enough from the crowds.

Why it works

Between them, the cottages sleep up to nine guests, each with its own private hot tub and access to a shared heated indoor swimming pool. It’s a combination that’s genuinely rare among holiday cottages in North Wales – one that makes a stay here work just as well in January as in August.

Who It's For

Both cottages are dog-friendly, fully accessible on a single level and suited to the kind of holiday that brings different generations together. Families with young children, groups of friends, grandparents and grandchildren – the setup works because there’s something for everyone, whatever the weather.

The Valley

The Conwy Valley sits at the heart of North Wales, with Betws-y-Coed, Llanrwst and the Conwy coast all within twenty minutes. Eryri’s mountains and Bodnant Garden are practically on the doorstep.

from the owners
We escaped to the country in 2021 and haven't looked back. We live just down the driveway from the cottages - on hand if you need us, invisible if you don't. We hope you love it here as much as we do.
