The pool is exclusively for guests of Fig Tree and Laurel - never open to the public, never shared beyond the two cottages.

No timetable. No strangers. No lane etiquette. Swim at midnight if you like. Leave the inflatables out. Stay as long as you want.

Using the Pool

The pool is unsupervised, so we ask all guests to swim responsibly and follow a few straightforward guidelines.

Safety Guidelines

The pool is 1.5m deep throughout. There’s no shallow end, so please don’t dive.
Children under 16 must be supervised by an adult at all times while in the pool building.
Please keep glass and other breakable items away from the pool area.
A quick shower before swimming helps keep the water clear and pleasant for everyone.

What to Bring

Swimwear and your own towels (please don’t use the bath sheets provided in the cottages).
Flip-flops or pool shoes for grip on wet surfaces.
Pool toys or inflatables if desired.
Aqua nappies for infants and toddlers.

Who can use the pool?

The pool is exclusively for guests staying at Fig Tree and Laurel. It is never open to the public and is not shared with any other property. On a typical week, that means a maximum of nine guests have access to it - and often fewer.

Can day visitors use the pool?

No. The pool is available only to guests who are staying overnight at Fig Tree or Laurel. Day visitors are not permitted to use the pool or hot tubs.

What are the pool's opening hours?

The pool is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week throughout your stay. There are no session times, no booking slots, and no closing time. Swim when it suits you.

Is the pool open in winter?

Yes. The pool is heated and available year-round, regardless of weather or season. This is one of the reasons guests tell us it transforms a North Wales holiday - a grey January afternoon looks entirely different when there's a warm pool thirty seconds from your door.

Is the pool suitable for young children?

Yes, though there are a few things to be aware of. The pool is unsupervised, so all children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Because the depth is a constant 1.5m throughout, non-swimmers and young children will need adult support in the water. Infants and toddlers must wear aqua nappies. Entry to the water is via a pool ladder with handrails (four steps). There is no hoist or level-entry access.
