One acre of shared garden stretches across level lawn, with panoramic views over the Conwy Valley to the Carneddau range beyond.

There are no internal fences between the two cottage patios or lawn areas. This is intentional: uninterrupted sightlines mean you can keep an eye on your dog from your morning coffee, right across to the far end of the garden.

The Boundary

The outer boundary is rural stock fencing, and the driveway gate remains open for easy access. We recommend supervising your dog, particularly if they're inclined to wander or have a strong prey drive. We're surrounded by working farmland, with sheep and cattle nearby.

The Garden

The garden is shared between Fig Tree and Laurel. When both cottages are occupied, your dog may have some four-legged company. Many dogs love the social aspect; others prefer their own space - something to bear in mind when booking.

How the outdoor spaces fit together

Dog-Friendly Days Out

The Conwy Valley is exceptional walking country. Start with the Llyn Syberi loop, a gentle lake walk just along the lane from the cottages, perfect for stretching your dog’s legs before breakfast.

Gwydir Forest offers shaded woodland trails year-round, and the beaches of the North Wales coast, including Llandudno, Conwy and Penmaenmawr, are within easy reach and many welcome dogs.

For the more ambitious, the ridges above the valley offer serious hill days with the kind of views that make the climb worthwhile. Back down in the valley, The Bee Inn in Eglwysbach is a ten-minute drive, a proper Welsh pub with open fires, the kind of spot for a well-earned pint after a big walk.

Good to Know

At the Cottage

Hard flooring in the main living areas is easy to clean after muddy adventures. Cosy rugs keep the space feeling warm.
An outdoor hose point is provided for rinsing off after walks.
A fresh water bowl will be waiting on arrival. A waste bin is located in the shared courtyard.
Dogs must not be left unattended in the cottage or garden at any time.
Please keep dogs on a lead in the shared courtyard out of courtesy to other guests.

House Rules

Keep dogs off furniture and beds. Feel free to bring your dog’s own bed to keep them comfortable.
Please clear all dog mess from the garden and patios before you leave.
Dogs are not permitted in the pool building at any time.
The hot tub patios are private to each cottage – please ensure your dog does not access the other cottage’s patio.

Your Questions Answered

How many dogs can we bring?

Up to two dogs per cottage, or four if you've booked The Entire Getaway. Dogs need to be booked and paid for in advance at £35 per dog, per stay.

Is the garden fully enclosed?

No. The perimeter is rural stock fencing and the driveway gate stays open for access, so it's not 100% dog-proof. We're surrounded by working farmland with sheep and cattle nearby, so dogs need supervising, particularly if they're prone to wandering or have a strong prey drive.

Can our dog sleep in the bedroom?

Yes, dogs are welcome in the bedrooms, just not on the furniture or beds - bring their own bed or blankets to keep them comfortable.

Are there walks straight from the door?

Yes. Gentle lanes and the Llyn Syberi loop start right from the gate, with Gwydir Forest's woodland trails and the North Wales coast a short drive away.
